New York Fashion Week + My Favourites!

Marc by Marc Jacobs featured some bold colours and prints. The boyish coat, and the red wine colour are very popular this season, featuring in loads of designers collections. Red lips and big hair are also a style stamp in Marc Jacobs' collection this Autumn/Winter.

Biker jackets and wet-look leathers are big hits in this years style fix. Many designers feature these grunge and punk looks with some attitude and flair. There is also a controversial side, however, making a softer look with nude colours. The hair was very slicked back, and straight.

DKNY featured a lot of boyish clothing and leopard print textiles for the A/W collection. Nude, and blue, colours were featured throughout along with blacks. The major hair style for this season is a slicked back look. Either a smooth ponytail, or a middle parting with the hair neatly tucked behind the ears. DKNY had natural makeup, with little accessories alongside it all.

My favourite collection this year is from Dolce & Gabbana! The glamorous womanly dresses and skirts flowed as the models strutted down the catwalk. The jewels and gold colours were very flattering and all of the clothes look a million bucks. The hair was slicked back into a low ponytail, or bun. With red tone lips and shining accessories. Their shoes were high heels and wedges, with golden details and jewels added. My favourite wedge is the one on the left of the image below. The flowers and the bird cage design makes a really feminine look, and it looks outstanding.

This is an older dress from Valentino, I've had my eye on it for a while, but you need a good salary to buy this beautiful design. The florals are very flattering, and the pure white collar/cuffs add a little cuteness and schoolgirl look. The hair is smooth and pulled round to the side, into a large braid. Again, the makeup is natural and the red purse really accentuates the red flowers in this dark floral print.
